The NDA
Darjeeling team, comprising Sahil Ruchal and Shubham Chetri finished second, while the NDA Patna team consisting of Nishtha Thakur and Swasti Sneh won the third prize in the event, which took place in the school's St.
Julie's auditorium.
The aim of the competition was to keep up with the thirst for knowledge, hunger for competition and aim for perfection among students.
Twenty students of classes VIII and IX from 10 NDA branches, including Gumla, Jamalpur and four Darjeeling branches, participated in the competition, which was held in the city for the first time. The competition included an oral round, a rapid fire round and a visual round, apart from a round on the history of Notre Dame.
City-based businessman and NDA alumnus, Ravi Garg, served as the quiz master for the event. Sister Mary Alice, the provincial of the Sisters of Notre Dame, was the event's chief guest.
"We worked very hard for over two months to organise the quiz contest successfully. The points scored by participants of all branches were very close, which shows the standard of education of Notre Dame," said Terence Chesney, a core committee member of the NDA Alumni Association.
