PATNA: Hundreds of school students participated in various competitions, including poster, elocution and slogan ones, to mark the
National Science Day here on Monday. It was jointly organized by the Sri Krishna Science Centre, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and Science for Society.
In the state-level slogan writing contest, Kamlesh Kumar Singh of plus 2 High School, Khutouna, Madhubani secured the first position, while Chandra Bhushan Sharma of the SR High School, Khagaria topped in poster competition.
Beauty Chanchal of Class IX, Sri Baliram Higher Secondary School, Sakra, Muzaffarpur got the first prize in essay writing.
In all, 32 students participated in the elocution contest exclusively for girls. Raushani Simran of Project Girls High School, Nirmali, Supaul won the first prize in this category.
Earlier, at least 600 students belonging to different schools participated in Science march which started from Sri Krishna Science Centre and terminated at Gandhi Maidan.
