Mob ransacks police outpost

DARBHANGA: Allegedly irked over the attitude of the police, the villagers created a ruckus and ransacked a police outpost in Darbhanga district on Tuesday night.

The case pertains to Shubhankarpur outpost, which comes under the town police station area.

The villagers have accused the police of arbitrariness and snatching money by harassing them in the name of vehicle checking. The mob even damaged the chairs and other material.

City SP Sagar Kumar Jha confirmed the incident and said Darbhanga sadar SDPO has been asked to investigate the matter.
