ML, CPI gear up for rallies in city
PATNA: The CPI(ML) and the CPI have gone full steam in preparing their cadres and supporters in the state for their rallies on September 27 and October 25, respectively, with a view to creating an atmosphere aimed at dislodging the BJP from power at the Centre.
State CPI secretary Satya Narayan Singh on Saturday flagged off eight ‘jeep jatthas’ to start the campaign from Sunday in their respective areas.

Singh said each of the jeep would have the party’s state leaders, along with those from the districts, during the campaign that would end on October 2 or might be extended on the local units’ demand. Earlier, the 10-day ‘padyatras’ of the party leaders in several districts concluded on September 21, Singh added.
The CPI (ML) has been using social media and traditional methods of mass mobilization like holding nukkad meetings, canvassing through loudspeakers and door-to-door campaign for the September 27 rally, the party’s state secretary Kunal said.
“We had fixed the target to visit 20 lakh families during the campaign. However, we have touched around 15 lakh families,” senior party functionary Dhirendra Kumar Jha said, adding: “The CPI(ML) rally would be a big one.”
