PATNA: Industries minister Renu Kumari Kushwaha on Monday said the proposal related to the development of private industrial area by entrepreneurs with government's help has been sent to the cabinet for approval.
Meeting a delegation of Bihar Industries Association led by its president K P S Keshri, the minister said under the provisions of the state industrial policy, an empowered committee chaired by the development commissioner has cleared the proposal for creation of a corpus fund for rehabilitation of sick industries.
She directed the principal secretary, industries, Navin Verma, to take measures for midterm review of the industrial policy.
The minister called upon the industrialists to contribute their mite to skill development of youth and workers in the state for creating skilled manpower for industrial development. She said the development commissioner and principal secretary, industries, would visit Delhi to meet people engaged in venture capital fund or equity fund.
Keshri raised the issue of enhancing the upper limit of capital subsidy to the industries. He demanded creation of an industrial commission and sought clarification on the industries department's statement that small sector industries include micro sector. He said the word 'micro' was not included in the industrial policy due to which the micro industries were not getting policy benefits.
