Migration has become fate of state’s youth: Kanhaiya
Sitamarhi: Congress neta and National Students' Union of India (NSUI) national in charge Kanhaiya Kumar on Thursday criticised the NDA govt in Bihar, saying that migration has become an unfortunate reality for the state's youth. "Young people feel insecure about finding jobs here. The govt keeps making false promises, but nothing changes," he said.
Kanhaiya was in Sitamarhi as part of his statewide "padyatra" to highlight the issues of unemployment and migration. The yatra was also aimed at energising Congress workers and supporters ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
Kanhaiya received an enthusiastic welcome from party workers and local youths at Bairgania, Dheng, Babhangama, Suppi, Riga and Sitamarhi. During his visit, he also stopped at several religious sites.
Among those accompanying him on the yatra were former Riga MLA Amit Kumar Tunna and senior district-level Congress netas Rajiv Kumar Kaju, Ritesh Raman Singh, Santosh Kumar Paswan, Shams Shahnawaj, Pramod Kumar Neel and Afaq Khan.
