Tragedy struck Gaya as an elderly mason, Arjun Manjhi, was allegedly beaten to death by four teenagers. The incident occurred after Manjhi reportedly asked the youths to quiet down while they were playing games on their phones near his home. He sustained a fatal head injury and was declared dead at a local clinic.
Gaya: An elderly man, Arjun Manjhi, who worked as a mason, was allegedly beaten to death by at least four teenagers near Sangam lane under Vishnupad police station area in Gaya town on Monday. Police have taken two into custody, while two others are at large.According to family members, some teens were in the habit of playing game on their cellphone near the house of Arun. On Monday, when he stopped them as they were creating noise, they started beating him up. He sustained head injury. He was taken to a nearby clinic, where the doctor declared him dead.

Vishnupad SHO Parmanand Lal Karn said, “Acting swiftly, two teens were taken into custody. The body was sent to the ANMMCH for postmortem.”
