Marandi’s effigy burnt

RANCHI: Jharkhand Pradesh Youth Congress (JPYC) on Monday burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Jharkhand chief minister Babulal Marandi to lodge their protest against rise in corruption, telecom rates and for demanding panchayat elections in Jharkhand.

RANCHI: Jharkhand Pradesh Youth Congress (JPYC) on Monday burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Jharkhand chief minister Babulal Marandi to lodge their protest against rise in corruption, telecom rates and for demanding panchayat elections in Jharkhand.
As per their announced programme of holding demonstrations at district headquarters in the state, the JPYC workers and leaders led by the JPYC president Mani Shankar, AIYC observer Nasir Hussain took out a procession from the Congress bhawan, which terminated in the burning of effigies at Albert Ekka Chowk.
