Man held for unnatural sex with a goat

PATNA: A 28-year-old man was arrested for allegedly having

unnatural sex with a goat

at Tarnwa under the Parsa Bazaar police station area in Patna district on Tuesday. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Sirman of Madhepura district. The

goat

was found dead.

A complaint in this regard was lodged by the goat’s owner Mahajini Devi when local kids told her about the incident. “She confronted the accused and the villagers thrashed him before and handing over to police,” SHO Jay Prakash told this newspaper on Wednesday evening.

“Mahajini in her complaint alleged that Sirman had unnatural intercourse with the goat, who died. She alleged that the village kids had witnessed the incident,” the SHO said.

Prakash said the man was booked under Section 429 (mischief by killing or maiming cattle) and Section 377 (unnatural offences) of IPC. “The police are investigating whether the man had committed the crime or the animal died because of some other reasons. However, the accused has denied the charges,” he said.

The goat’s body was sent to the veterinary hospital at Sheikhpura for postmortem.

Police sources said Sirman worked as a labourer in Punpun. “We are trying to get information about his family and medical history. Sirman told the police that he is married and lives with other labourers at Punpun,” the SHO said.
