Man held for possessing fake arms licence

Ara: A joint team of police from Patna and Bhojpur on Sunday arrested a man under the Bihiya police station on the charges of committing forgery, possessing fake arms licence and an illegal country-made pistol.
SHO, Bihiya police station, Aaditya Kumar, told this newspaper, "Acting on a tip-off that a man was in possession of a fake arms licence and an illegal weapon, the joint team of the STF, Patna, and police personnel of Bihiya police station led by me, conducted a raid near the Bihiya petrol pump. The team arrested one Mukesh Kumar Singh, son of one Mithilesh Singh, a resident of Damodarpur village under Bahoranpur police station of the Bhojpur district."
The police seized a country-made pistol, a forged arms licence and a cellphone from the possession of Mukesh, he said.
