Man found dead in Bihar's Khagaria district

KHAGARIA: The body of a 40-year-old man was found at Thebai village under Bharatkhand police outpost area of Khagaria district in the wee hours of Thursday. The victim, Manoj Sharma, missing since January 8, was allegedly killed in a suspected love affair. The police have recovered blood stained clothes of the deceased from a nearby orchard at the village.

According to police, his wife Lalita Devi had lodged a complaint with the police about his disappearance. She said Manoj left the house on January 8 evening after receiving a call on his cellphone, but did not returned home till January 10 night.

However, his body was found in the wee hours of Thursday outside the village. Call details of his cellphone revealed that Manoj was called by a woman of Thebai village, who had an extra-marital affair with him.

Manju was also in romantic relationship with one Mithun Kumar Sharma and Akhilesh Das, who have been taken into custody for further interrogation, said Ramesh Kumar, Gogri SDPO.
