Man found dead, bro accuses wife

Patna: The 24-year-old man was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room under Phulwaria police station area in Gopalganj district on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Bhim Singh, son of late Ram Nath Singh of Shukrabaliya village.
He has left behind a three-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son.
His brother alleged that Bhim was killed due to an illicit affair of his wife with another man.
Phulwaria SHO Abdul Mazid said prima facie the incident seemed to be a fallout of a dispute between the couple. It looks like Bhim died by suicide, but the real cause of death will be known only after the autopsy report. Bhim was working as a labourer in Ludhiana. He had recently come back from Ludhiana, he said.
According to Prem Chandra, brother of the deceased, he received a phone call from his sister-in-law in the morning that Bhim had killed himself. Prem reached the spot and informed the police. “Prem has filed a complaint alleging involvement of Bhim’s wife in the incident. According to the complaint, Bhim’s wife was having an affair with another person of the same village. The police are investigating the case from every possible angle,” the SHO added.
Prem alleged that Bhim’s wife had eloped with her paramour ten days ago. But she returned 3 days back. The couple had quarrelled on the issue after which the incident took place, he alleged.
