Main accused in Ara youth’s murder case held
Ara: Bhojpur police on Monday arrested the main accused in the murder of a 17-year-old boy following an altercation on Instagram, while the second accused surrendered before the Ara court.Aadarsh Kumar, son of late Shatrughan Singh of Jhauan village in Bihiya block, was shot in the chest by two bike-borne youths near his rented house at Pakri Chowk–Mahua Bagh under Nawada police station area of Ara on Saturday evening. He succumbed to his injuries the next day in a private hospital.

“Within 24 hours of the firing incident, police arrested the main accused, Manjeet Kumar Yadav, while the other accused, Navneet Kumar Yadav alias Loha Yadav, surrendered before the Ara court,” said Ara Nawada police station SHO, Bipin Bihari.In his statement to police as well as mediapersons from his hospital bed, Aadarsh had said on Saturday night that he had an altercation with a youth named Loha Yadav during an Instagram group call, after which the latter threatened him with dire consequences.Aadarsh’s sudden and untimely death has devastated the family. His mother, who works as a nurse in a private hospital to support the household, is now left alone to care for her young daughter after having lost her husband a few years ago.
