Lone AIMIM MLA axed from House panel

PATNA: State assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha on Tuesday expelled lone AIMIM MLA and the party’s state chief Akhtarul Iman from the House committee for minority welfare after finding a complaint filed against him by committee chairman Afaque Alam as true.

On July 30, Alam had submitted a written complaint to the Speaker, alleging that Iman used to push his party’s agenda at the meeting of the House committee in the districts.

“As a result of Iman’s behaviour, conducting the meeting of the House committee has become difficult,” Alam had complained to the Speaker. He had even cancelled his Samastipur tour due to this.
