Law college hosts orientation prog for NSS volunteers

Patna: Patna Law College on Wednesday organized an orientation programme for its National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers in which they were apprised with their social responsibilities.
Principal Rakesh Verma exhorted the students to actively participate in different NSS activities for their personality development and to prepare themselves to serve society in a better way.
Patna University (PU) NSS programme coordinator Atul Aditya Pandey briefed the students present on the occasion about the different events of the scheme throughout the year and appealed to them to participate in all kinds of activities.
The best volunteer would also be given a prize at the national level, he told the students.
Death condoled: Students and teachers of Patna University's (PU) chemistry department on Wednesday expressed grief over the demise of chemistry teacher A K Banerjee, who retired in 1992.
Patna Science College principal U K Sinha and Patna University chemistry head Radha Kant Prasad recalled Banerjee's contribution to the department.
