Kingpin of an inter-state gang nabbed in Araria

FORBESGANJ: Police nabbed the kingpin of an inter-state gang of criminals at Simrahi under Narpatganj police station in Forbesganj sub-division in Araria district.
On a tip-off that a notorious ganglord Bechan Yadav was moving around in the area, a police team raided a house and arrested the absconding criminal at Simrahi on Saturday. Narpatganj SHO Mukesh Kumar Saha said the ganglord was wanted in connection with nearly 60 cases of dacoity, murder and loot registered with the police stations in the districts of Araria and Supaul.The ganglord was wanted in connection with the killing of two persons during a dacoity at village Farhi in 2010 as well. Araria SP Shivdeep Lande rewarded the police team for nabbing the ganglord.
Dacoity: Over 20 armed dacoits barged into the houses of Arjun Singh and Abhay Singh in ward no 12 in Madura bustee under Narpatganj police station and looted cash and valuables worth over Rs 7 lakh on Saturday night, police said. The armed dacoits locked the inmates of the house and assaulted Arjun Singh’s father. They pillaged through the house and also looted cash and valuables. Araria SP Shivdeep Lande on Sunday said, armed dacoits were members of infamous Pappu Miyan gang, which often struck terror in Araria and Supaul districts.
