kidnapped man rescued in Patna

Patna: Police on Sunday rescued a man who had been kidnapped by a group of four to five people from Vijay Nagar under the jurisdiction of Patrakar Nagar police station in Patna. The kidnapping took place on Saturday when the assailants forced the victim, Om Bharti, into an SUV and fled. A special investigation team (SIT) led by SHO Abhay Kumar conducted raids and rescued the victim from the kidnappers. The team also arrested two suspects, Devraj Kumar and Abhishek Kumar, and recovered the motorcycle used in the crime. ASP Sadar Abhinav said initial investigation suggested a financial dispute as the motive behind the abduction.
