Jaisa naam, waisa kaam: Yogi slams RJD for fielding Osama

Patna/Ara: Attacking the RJD for fielding Osama Sahab, son of former Siwan MP late Mohd Shahabuddin, from Raghunathpur, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday accused the opposition party of given ticket to a “hereditary criminal”.

“RJD ne khandani apradhi ko ticket diya hai. Jaisa naam, waisa kaam (RJD has fielded a hereditary criminal. As is the name, so will be the deed,” he said, without mentioning late Shahabuddin, considered a terror of Siwan, as well as terrorist Osama bin Laden.




Addressing rallies in Raghunathpur (Siwan district) and Buxar, Yogi referred to the infamous acid attack case in Siwan, and said people should not allow the criminals to flourish again. “It behoves the Congress, RJD and Samajwadi Party (SP) to embrace a professional mafia and then offer prayers at the tombs of Babar and Aurangzeb,” said Adityanath, who was greeted with a bulldozer at the venue.

In Buxar, the UP CM appealed to the people to not let Bihar slide into the alleged jungle raj again, but to move it forward on the path of development, saying this is a battle to tell the current generation about the achievements made by the NDA govt, led by Nitish Kumar under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi in Bihar.

“Parties like the Congress and RJD want to rob the people of their rights. These are the same people who had turned Bihar into an industry of kidnapping, where criminals and corrupt were the hallmarks of power,” he said, adding, “Now we don’t need lanterns (the RJD poll symbol). We need the light of development, and that is the double engine govt of Modi ji and CM Nitish Kumar ji. My govt in UP used bulldozers on the mafia. The time has come to oust the political mafias like the RJD-Congress in Bihar. Uttar Pradesh has started moving on the path of Ramrajya. Now it is Bihar’s turn,” he said.

Adityanath reiterated this in Bhojpur, while addressing an election rally at Shahpur — one of the seven assembly constituencies of the district — soliciting votes for BJP candidate Rakesh Ranjan Ojha. Son of BJP’s former state vice-president Visheshwar Ojha, Rakesh is pitted against two-time incumbent RJD MLA Rahul Tiwari, son of senior party leader Shivanand Tiwari.

Beginning the speech in the local Bhojpuri dialect, eliciting a rousing response from the crowd, Adityanath said today Bihar has everything that should have been done 50 years back by the Congress. “During the 15 years of jungle raj, traders were scared, many migrated, the safety of girls and women was at the mercy of god and the youth craved for a positive identity of Bihar, but the state only witnessed anarchy and mafia raj. Today Bihar has good connectivity, praiseworthy flood control mechanism, sound system of school education and a series of medical and engineering colleges. Today Bihar is churning out engineering and medical graduates from its new colleges, and getting rid of its image of being a land of migration,” he said.

This momentum must continue and that is possible only if the NDA govt comes back, he added.

Aware of being in the land of Veer Kunwar Singh, Adityanath saluted the contributions of not only the freedom fighter but also all the luminaries of the state, from Lord Buddha and Chanakya to Dr Rajendra Prasad and Jai Prakash Narayan.
