Patna: Alarmed over large number of deaths due to lightning strikes, chief minister
Nitish Kumar on Friday asked the officials concerned to install lightning arresters at all government buildings in the state as early as possible by launching a special drive.
At least 900 people have died due to lightning strikes in
Bihar in the last two-and-a-half years, including 74 in June this year alone, reports
Madan Kumar.
Chairing a high-level meeting to review the recent incidents of lightning strikes at ‘Sankalp’ hall of the CM residence here, Nitish also asked officials to motivate people to install lightning arresters at their private buildings.
