Earlier, BIA president Arun Agrawal requested Sharan to set up a land bank in the state. The BIA members also asked Sharan to seriously look into the issue of delay in VAT reimbursement which causes a huge loss to traders every financial year.
Several issues like smooth processing at single window system, regular update of product diary, financial support to BIA-introduced incubation centre, formulation of state government’s policy on tourism, health and textile sectors and control on the rate of BIADA land were raised at the meeting.
“We have discussed the matter of BIADA land and will soon announce some solution,” assured Sharan.
Sumit Singh, an entrepreneur, said thousands of acres of waste and barren land were available in Rohtas and Buxar districts which could be used for setting up big industries. Sharan assured to examine the land as soon as possible.
