Bhagalpur: The Indian Institute of Information Technology-Bhagalpur (IIIT-Bhagalpur) has added another feather to its cap by signing a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with eduClaas of Singapore to start two PG diploma courses – digital business management (DBM) and software engineering and management (SEM) – from January next year.
Director of IIIT-Bhagalpur Dr Arvind Choubey said the courses would be of two-year duration.
“Classes will be conducted in online mode. The first semester will be course work and the rest three semesters will be assured internship at multinational companies. During the internship, the students will receive a stipend of Rs 30,000 per month. After completion of the course, the successful students will be offered attractive job opportunities and packages in at least three multinational companies,” he added.
“The responsibilities of IIIT-Bhagalpur and eduClaas (Singapore) will be facilitating learning management system setup, providing qualified lecturers for programme delivery and learning assessment, onshore and offshore apprenticeship placement services with international and local employers, providing mentors for learners’ orientation and managing academic journey, supporting learning operations and administration besides managing all academics, students, learning programmes, delivery and operative matters throughout the entire duration of the courses,” he added.
Choubey said MoA ceremony was held in online mode in which Leslie Loh (CEO of eduClaas, Singapore), Dr Samir Kharkatnis Yangpoo (Indian partner of eduClaas),
Mahesh Kumar (ED lead), Paxton (sales operation lead), Dr Sandeep Raj (head of centre, AI & data science and associate dean at IIIT-Bhagalpur), Dr Gaurav Kumar (registrar in charge and associate dean at IIIT-Bhagalpur) and others participated.
In his virtual address, Leslie said the collaboration with IIIT-Bhagalpur would benefit the students of India and the proposed courses would provide assured job to them.
