Humsafar Express flagged off
PATNA:
ECR chief public relations officer Rajesh Kumar said the train would run on its nominated day every Wednesday from Udaipur City at 12.20pm and reach Pataliputra Junction at 9.15pm the next day. It will leave Pataliputra Junction on the intervening night of Thursday-Friday at 12.10am and reach Udaipur City on Saturday at 8.20am. It has 16 3AC coaches, two brake vans and one pantry car, he said.
BJP MLA from Digha Sanjeev Chaurasia and Danapur DRM Ranjan Prakash Thakur were also present at the flagging-off ceremony.
Kumar said Humsafar Express would have stoppages at Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Pt Deendayal Upadhaya Junction (Mughalsarai), Varanasi, Sultanpur, Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Kannauj, Farrukhabad,
“Humsafar Express has the facilities like GPS based passenger information, baby nappy changing pads, tea and coffee machines along with mobile charging points and reading lights for each passenger in the coach,” Kumar said.
Meanwhile, ECR’s RPF wing held a workshop on the ‘Mission Satyanishtha’ at Danapur DRM’s office on Saturday. A large number of RPF officials attended the workshop and reiterated their commitment and sincerity to duty. RPF’s chief security commissioner Ravindra Verma and Danapur DRM also addressed the participants, sources said.
Besides, railways has restored the run of Barkakana-Varanasi passenger (53525/53526), which was to remain cancelled till October 20 due to non-interlocking (NI) work at Dehri-on-Sone. Railways has also decided to run a special passenger train between Dhanbad and Sitamarhi during Chhath festival. The special train will leave Dhanbad on November 10 and 17. On its return journey, it will leave Sitamarhi on November 11 and 18 to clear the passengers’ rush during festive time, sources said.
