Patna: The railways has extended services of 28 Holi special trains originating from different places falling under the East Central Railway (ECR) to cope with huge rush of passengers post Holi.
ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra said services of the Patna-New Delhi, Sheikhpura-Anand Vihar, Dhanbad-Sakurbasti and Saharsa-Anand Vihar have been extended up to March 31. “The Danapur-Anand Vihar weekly and another weekly train between Sheikhpura and Anand Vihar will be into operations till March 30,” he said.
Similarly, the Lokmanya Tilak Mumbai-Danapur will run till April 1 and the Pune-Danapur till April 2.
“The services of Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar have been extended till March 28 and the Anand Vihar-Loukha Bazar daily will be running till March 16,” the CPRO said.
Likewise, the services of Purnia Court-Anand Vihar, Dhanbad-Chandigarh and Dhanbad-Delhi bi-weekly have been extended till March 29. The Podanur (Coimbatore)-Barauni will be into operations till March 26.
