HC asks lawyer to move CS to resolve power crisis

PATNA:Patna High Court on Wednesday disposed of a PIL filed by lawyer Kalpana, whosought a full-time secretary in charge of the energy department in view of theserious power crisis in the state. The court asked her to make a representationin this regard before the chief secretary. When a division Bench,comprising Chief Justice P K Misra and Justice Anjana Prakash, asked Kalpana tomake a representation before the chief secretary, she said all energysecretaries had been appointed for short terms in the last couple of years. And,due to this, they could not solve the power crisis the state has plunged into.And, this lack of focused approach has ultimately affected the state and itspeople.
