Patna: The half-yearly examinations for classes IX and X will be conducted from Sept 24 to Sept 26 in all govt schools across the state, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced in a letter to all district education officers (DEOs) on Thursday.
The exams for both classes will be held in two shifts and will comprise six papers: two language papers, science, social science, mathematics and English. Visually impaired candidates will appear for home science in place of mathematics and music in place of science.
Question papers will be distributed between Sept 12 and Sept 17 at designated centres in each district, based on the number of schools per class. The papers will then be handed over to principals and authorised teachers before the start of the examinations.
The DEOs have been instructed to hold meetings with school heads in their respective districts to ensure that the examinations are conducted according to the schedule. They have also been directed to prepare and submit the results within seven days of the conclusion of the exams.
