Govt transfers 101 DSPs in Bihar

Patna: The state govt on Thursday transferred 101 deputy superintendents of police (DSPs) ahead of the New Year. The home department issued a notification in this regard, listing the names of the transferred officers.
The transferred officers include Madan Prasad Singh, Animesh Kumar Singh, Sona Prasad Singh, Gaurishankar Gupta, Vinod Kumar, Anil Kumar Sinha, Nihar Bhushan, Kamakhya Narayan Singh, Manoranjan Bharti, Dev Kumar and Bhudev Das, among others.
Most of the transferred officers were moved to the offices of inspector general (IG) and deputy inspector general (DIG), as well as the Crime Investigation Department and vigilance department. Some of the officers were already holding postings while others were waiting for posting. The reshuffle is seen as a move to revamp the state police force.
