Govt shifts 12 IPS officers, Shikhar replaces Vaibhav as Katihar SP

Patna: Ahead of the upcoming assembly polls in Bihar, the state govt on Friday reshuffled 12 IPS officers.The SP of Katihar, rural SP of Saran, SP (Vigilance Investigation Bureau-VIB), SDPO-1 of Patna, SDPO-1 of Patna City, SDPO-1 of Danapur and SDPOs Bagaha and Motihari Sadar were affected by the current reshuffling.According to a notification issued by the home department, Saran's rural SP Shikhar Chaudhary (2020-batch) has been posted as the SP, Katihar, replacing Vaibhav Sharma (2018) who has been transferred to Patna as the SP (investigation control room, CID).SP (law and order), Sanjay Kumar (2018) has now been posted as the rural SP, Saran.SP, VIB, Manoj Kumar (2018) has been transferred to Begusarai as the commandant, Bihar Special Armed Forces (BSAP-8), replacing his batchmate Navjot Simi, who has now been notified as the commandant of the BSAP-19 at Begusarai.The assistant IG (modernisation) Shaishav Yadav (2016) has been notified as the commandant-cum-principal of the Military Police Training Centre at Dumraon, replacing Mahendra Kumar Basantri (2018), who has now been posted as the commandant of the home guards in Patna.SDPO (Pakaridayal), Mohibullah Ansari (2021-batch) has been posted as the SDPO-1, Patna.SDPO-1 (Patna City) Atulesh Jha (2022) has been posted as the SDPO-1, Dehri in Rohtas district. Similarly, SDPO-1 (Motihari sadar), Shivam Dhakad (2022) has been posted as SDPO-1, Danapur in Patna district.SDPO, Ramnagar (Bagaha) Divyanjali Jaiswal (2022) has been posted as the assistant superintendent of police (CID in Patna).
