Govt promotes 20 IAS officers

The state government on Tuesday promoted 20 IAS officers, of which 16 have been promoted to the rank of special secretaries.

PATNA: The Bihar government on Tuesday promoted 20 IAS officers, of which 16 have been promoted to the rank of special secretaries.
According to a general administration department notification issued here on Tuesday, Anil Kumar (1976), advisor, Bihar state planning board, have been given the top scale of Rs 80,000.
Three IAS officers (all of 1986 batch) namely Sanjiv K Sinha, divisional commissioner, Darbhanga, K P Ramaiya, principal secretary, art, culture and youth affairs, and Alok Vardhan Chaturvedi, Bihar s resident commissioner in New Delhi, were promoted to the super time scale (67,000-79,000).

Sixteen IAS officials (1995/1996)/1997 batches) were promoted as special secretaries in the scale of Rs 37,400-67,000. These promoted officials are Kamal K Sinha, Deo Dutta Verma (both 1996), Santosh K Mal, Pankaj Kumar (both 1997), Arvind K Chaudhary, N Vijaylakshmi, B Rajender, Uday N Thakur, Suresh P Sinha, Masud Hasan, Ramesh Lal, Daya Shankar Pandey, Arun Chandra Mishra, Indra Sen Singh, Arun Prasad and Arvind K Singh (all 1995).
