PATNA: Patna Golf Club on Sunday organized a Christmas Carnival here, where visitors were treated to fun, food and music. In the evening, when the festival was at its peak, both kids and elders enjoyed a huge bonfire, with a merry Santa handing out gifts.
The carnival was earlier inaugurated by Justice Samrendra Pratap Singh, who is president of the club.
There was a variety of food and other items to tickle one’s taste buds. Piping hot Mughlai dishes, dosa, ghee-dipped ‘litti-chokha’, ‘makke ki roti’ with ‘sarso ka saag’, Amritsari ‘kulche’, ‘chole’, American corn and momos were the major draw. Besides, there were stalls of ‘banarsi paan’, ice-cream and cold drinks. For kids, there were fantastic pastas and pizzas and chocolate brownies.
The games stalls — including the ‘Lucky dip’, ‘Car race’, ‘Feeding the joker’ and ‘Star wheel’- attracted both the kids and elders.
A housie game was also organized, where the prize money was Rs 1 lakh. A number of companies had put up their stalls to display their products. These included cold drink, jewellery and automobile companies, besides mobile phone firms and banks.
