Making a stinging remark against the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar, Tejashwi said thorough investigation into the functioning of orphanages, shelter homes and remand homes of the state would land several JD(U) and BJP leaders in jail.

Talking to media persons after launching his three-day ‘NDA Bhagao Beti Bachao’ cycle march from Gaya to Patna to highlight the Muzaffarpur shelter home rape case and alleged failures of the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government in Bihar, Tejashwi said, “Women of Bihar are in no mood to forgive ‘Paltu Chacha’ for creating so much hostile and unsafe environment in the state for them that they cannot roam freely or go about their normal work fearlessly!”

The cycle march being is scheduled to reach Patna on July 30. After reaching Patna, Tejashwi will meet governor Satya Pal Malik and submit a memorandum highlighting the failures of the year-old JD(U)-led coalition government.

Taking a swipe at CM Nitish Kumar’s “call of inner voice”, Tejashwi said, “Antaratma has slipped into a deep convenient sleep! It will wake up only when CM’s chair is in danger! He won’t rise to safeguard the interests of Bihari, to save women from crime, criminals and rapists!”

He said the CM’s silence over incidents like Muzaffarpur shelter home rape case was “criminal”. He also urged Nitish to opt out of politics. “Chacha (uncle), bow out of politics with whatever little honour is left for you.”

He also slammed the law and order situation in Bihar saying, “Yahan toh Draupadi ka cheerharan ho raha hai, Duryodhan kar raha hai. Sita maiya ka apharan Ravana kar raha hai. Yahan toh ‘rakshas raj’ kaayam ho gaya hai. Ravan aur Duryodhan ki sarkar chal rahi hai. (Here, Draupadi was being insulted by Duryodhan. Sita Maiya is being abducted by Ravan. Demon rule has been established. Ravan and Duryodhan are running the government).”
