Girls clinch 31 out of 52 gold medals

The results of 2005 and 2006 examinations of Patna University clearly show that girls are far ahead of boys even in science subjects. In most of the subjects, the top ranking students are girls.

PATNA: Until recently, girls used to opt for humanities and social sciences while pursuing higher studies at graduate and post-graduate levels. But the situation has changed completely today, with girls not only opting for the science stream but also faring well in "dry" subjects.
The results of 2005 and 2006 examinations of Patna University clearly show that girls are far ahead of boys even in science subjects.

As many as 31 out of 52 gold medals awarded to the toppers of different postgraduate examinations at the PU convocation held at S K Memorial Hall here on Sunday were clinched by girls.
