Girl stabbed to death in Saran

A 16-year-old girl was stabbed to death by a 30-year-old man in Saran district Tuesday night. The deceased, Prianka Kumari, was identified as a Salimapur bazaar resident under Marhoura police station area. The accused, Arjun Kumar, is a distant relative of the girl and committed the crime in a one-sided love. He was absconding at the time of the incident. Marhoura Indrajit Baitha said the girl was the maternal sister of the accused. The girl's mother, Manju Devi, said she rushed to her room upon hearing her screaming and saw that she had been stabbed. Locals claimed that the sister of the deceased's father and the father of the accused had earlier eloped and married many years ago. After that, the two families had at loggerheads.
