GAYA: Police have launched a massive manhunt to arrest Rocky, the son of JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi, who allegedly shot dead 19-year-old

on Saturday night after the latter overtook his car.

said the police would leave no stone unturned to bring Rocky to justice. “The investigating officer will move court to secure property attachment order, a mandatory requirement for confiscating the moving assets of the absconder,” Khan, who is camping at Gaya, said.
A team of forensic experts examined the top-end Range Rover in which Rocky was moving. The soil samples of the place of shootout were matched with the tyre particles. The engine condition of the car was also analysed to negate the MLC’s purported claim that the vehicle recovered from her house had been stationed there for the last three days.
The investigators have also taken note of inconsistencies in the statements of Rocky’s father Bindi Yadav, the gangster who was charged with sedition in 2011 for storing 6,000 rounds of assault rifle bullets. Bindi, who first claimed that Rocky was in Delhi, later told mediapersons that his son fired the bullet in self-defence.
Police sources said the possibility of Rocky hiding in any remote village of either Barachatti or Gurua cannot be ruled out. Rocky’s ancestral house is in the Maoist-dominated Barachatti area where his father has a wide network. Bindi Yadav is also politically active in Gurua from where he had unsuccessfully contested the 2010 assembly elections on an RJD ticket.
According to sources, the other places where Rocky could have gone into hiding include Delhi. Three
Rajdhani Express
trains leave Gaya for Delhi before midnight. Aditya’s killing took place around 8pm and Rocky was identified as the killer about four hours after the incident. “During those four hours, Rocky could have boarded one of the three Rajdhani Express trains for Delhi. Obliging conductors are known to facilitate ticketless travel on Rajdhani Express,” they said.
