Gaya: DM Shashank Shubhankar and SSP Sushil Kumar on Sunday jointly issued an order to ensure strict monitoring of all women’s hostels and lodges of the district.
Officials have been asked to prepare an updated list of women’s hostels that are located in the district headquarters and sub-divisions.
Besides, the officials have ordered the constitution of a committee that would conduct inspections to review facilities and security arrangements in such hostels and lodges. At least one woman officer should be included in the committee, they said.
“Meetings should be held with owners of hostels and lodges to discuss maintenance and security issues. Ensure that a list of the problems identified in the meeting is submitted to the DM. Also get the inquiry completed and submit the report at the office of DM,” said the order.
