Folk singer Sharda Sinha captivated the audience with the rendition of her famous songs 'paniya ke jahaaj se paltaniya' and other Bhojpuri and Maithili songs on the second evening of Bihar Utsav in Delhi on Saturday.

Over 50 stalls of handloom and handicrafts, including Bhagalpuri silk, Mithila paintings, Sikki products, Motihari terracotta products, jute jewellery and Tikuli art, as also 10 stalls of Bihari cuisine are some of the attractions at this festival at Dilli Haat, Pitampura. At a seminar organized on Saturday, principal secretary, Industries department, Bihar, Naveen Verma invited investors from across the country to invest in food processing sector, like maize processing, litchi processing and banana ripening and processing units. "The objective of the department is to create a modern enabling infrastructure for food processing units in the state, with access to market linkages," said Verma.This year's theme of Bihar Utsav is "Empowering women is empowering society" and the exhibition in Delhi aims to give an opportunity to Bihari women to showcase their talent and hard work. The Utsav was inaugurated by Bihar Industries minister Renu Kumari Kushwaha on Friday. She said that society cannot develop without the development of women. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will inaugurate the "Dharohar and Industrial products exhibition" on March 18. The Utsav will conclude on March 21.
