Five held for gang rape of dancer in Buxar
In a swift action, Buxar police have apprehended all five individuals accused in the alleged gang rape of a dancer. The incident occurred on May 1st during a wedding performance. Authorities confirmed the arrests followed intelligence and technical leads, with the accused reportedly confessing to the crime. The victim was found unconscious near the Karmanasa river.
Buxar: Police have arrested all the five named accused involved in the alleged gang rape of a dancer in Buxar district.Addressing a press conference on Sunday, SDPO Gaurav Pandey said the arrests were made based on intelligence inputs and technical investigation.The incident took place on May 1 when the victim had come to perform at a wedding. Police said five accused, including Bunty Rajbhar, Salman Khan, Rampratap Rajbhar alias Prem Kumar, along with two others, allegedly committed the crime. After the incident, the accused reportedly left the victim unconscious near the Karmanasa river and fled.Police said the accused have confessed to committing the crime. Based on the victim’s statement, police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. All five accused are being sent to judicial custody, the SDPO added.
