FIR against coaching centre officials

Patna: A case has been registered against four officials of a Patna-based coaching institute preparing students for engineering entrance exams. Those named in the FIR included the institute's director, D K Goyal, CEO Manish Anand, CFO Rajiv Babbar and R K Thakur.
The institute, located on Fraser Road, allegedly shut down abruptly after collecting fees from students, prompting police action. Kotwali police station has initiated an investigation and is gathering details of the institute's accounts with plans to freeze its original bank account. Efforts are also being made to contact the concerned bank branch for further information.
Kotwali SHO Rajan Kumar said, "An FIR has been registered. A team has been formed for the investigation. If needed, the team will also travel to Mumbai to interrogate the accused mentioned in the FIR."
The sudden closure of the coaching institute has left many students and their families in distress.
