Ex-DGP, wife denied bail in DA case

PATNA: Special Judge, Vigilance, Patna, R C Mishra on Thursday rejected the anticipatory bail petitions of former DGP Narayan Mishra and his wife Kanchan Mishra in a disproportionate asset (DA) case. They are being prosecuted by the Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) under the Special Court Act.
Mishra had been chargesheeted by the SVU earlier in the disproportionate asset case for possessing assets worth Rs 98.91 lakh disproportionate to his known source of income.Kanchan Mishra was chargesheeted for abetting the act of her husband in amassing disproportionate assets.
