Elaborate security arrangements for PM’s Aurangabad rally on Nov 7
Aurangabad: Elaborate security arrangements have been made for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election rally on Friday near Deo Mor, along the Grand Trunk Road, about 12 km from the Aurangabad district headquarters.
The Special Protection Group (SPG) has taken charge of the rally venue, cordoning off the area and has conducted multiple rounds of inspection. Senior SPG officials also held review meetings with local administration and police officers to ensure foolproof arrangements.
Ahead of the rally, top officials, including commissioner A M Safeena and IG of Magadh division Kshatranil Singh, jointly inspected the helipad and rally site at Deo Mor. They assessed the overall security readiness, the condition of approach roads, VIP movement routes, and crowd management plans.
During the inspection, both the officers directed all departments to strictly adhere to the security protocol, emphasising that there should be no lapses during the PM’s visit. District magistrate Shrikant Shastri instructed officials to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure that people do not face inconvenience. He ordered the installation of barricades, signage, and traffic diversions along all access routes to the rally site.
Superintendent of police (SP) Ambrish Rahul reviewed the deployment plan of security personnel, parking arrangements, and vehicle movement routes. Officials confirmed that adequate parking zones have been created near the venue and that special police teams will be deployed for crowd control.
The PM is expected to seek support for NDA candidates across multiple constituencies — BJP’s Trivikram Narayan Singh (Aurangabad) and Ranvijay Singh (Goh), HAM(S)’s Lalan Ram (Kutumba), JD(U)’s Pramod Singh (Rafiganj) and Chetan Anand (Nabinagar), and LJP’s Prakash Chandra (Obra).
Modi had last addressed a rally in Aurangabad in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
