Madhubani: The district civil court administration has made it mandatory for advocates to obtain an e-filing ID. Without this ID, advocates will not be able to file any case or application online on the e-filing registration portal.
After obtaining the e-filing ID, advocates will themselves be able to submit online applications in the court. At present, the e-filing ID has been made compulsory for filing NI Act (Negotiable Instruments Act) and miscellaneous cases.

The district court administration has launched a special drive to facilitate the creation of e-filing IDs for advocates. Court manager Sarfaraz Alam has appealed to the advocates to ensure that they mandatorily get their e-filing registration ID made.
District court system officer Vimlesh Kumar said a special drive for making e-filing IDs began on Monday. Under this drive, the advocates can get their e-filing IDs created in the court premises at the library building.
Advocates can get their e-filing ID made at the e-seva centre located on the court premises during court working days from 10.00am to 5.00pm.
The system officer said to create an e-filing ID, the advocates are required to provide their email ID, phone number, bar council certificate, Aadhaar card, PAN card, bank passbook, or any other photo identity proof.
He further stated that currently, e-filing ID has been made mandatory for filing cases under the NI Act and miscellaneous matters. In the coming days, the e-filing registration ID will also be made mandatory for paperless functioning of the court in other categories of cases.
