Dreaded gangster surrenders

Dreaded gangster Basudeo Yadav, wanted in over 150 heinous criminal cases in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, surrendered before Bagaha (West Champaran) SP Vikas Vaibhar on Saturday.

BAGAHA: Dreaded gangster Basudeo Yadav, wanted in over 150 heinous criminal cases in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, surrendered before Bagaha (West Champaran) SP Vikas Vaibhar on Saturday. He was sent to Bagaha sub-jail on Sunday.
Earlier, police produced the gangster and two of his accomplices before A C J M in-charge Vishwanath Prasad who remanded them to judical custody.

A large number of people gathered on the court premises to have a look at the gangster.
Yadav was wanted in cases of murder, kidnapping, extortion, dacoity, loot and arson in various police stations of West Champaran district in Bihar and Kushinagar district in Uttar Pradesh.
SSB programme: Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) organised a programme for people living in border areas under the banner of Gaon ka vikas, Desh ka vikas in various part of West Champaran district with an aim to integrate the border population with the national mainstream.
A utility-based workshop to train youths to enhance their skills to find gainful employment was also organised. The workshop was held at Harnatand, Laukaris remote Tharu-populated villages in which 70 youths took special training for socio-economic development like border managment, disaster management, computer training, sheep, goat, pig and poultry farming, wildlife, crime, Aids, organic farming, ecology etc. The workshop was inaugurated by Bagaha SDM Anamul Haque.
He appreciated the SSB for holding the workshop.
