Darbhanga govt school teacher shot dead
Darbhanga: A teacher of a govt primary school was shot dead while he was on way to the school in Nasirganj Nista under Singhwara police station of the district on Wednesday morning. According to Singhwara station house officer (SHO) Ranjeet Kumar, who had reached the spot with Sadar subdivisional police officer-II Jyoti Kumari, victim Mohd Mansur Alam (55), a resident of Shankarpur village, was on way to his school on bicycle, when criminals intercepted him on Bharwara-Kamtaul road and fired twice. As bullets pierced his head and waist, the victim fell into a nearby ditch with his bicycle.The police team, which had reached the spot along with the FSL officers, sent the body to DMCH for autopsy after collecting evidence.The SHO said they are trying to identify and nab the criminals. Following the murder, a large number of people blocked the Bharwara-Kamtaul road. Police intervened and persuaded the people to lift the blockade.
