Patna: The Danapur division has set up a dedicated war room in its Danapur control room, which will be operational 24/7, to ensure hassle-free travel during the peak summer season starting Friday. Danapur senior divisional commercial manager (DCM) Abhinav Siddarth said the initiative aims to provide swift redressal of passenger grievances related to inconveniences, healthcare issues, hygiene concerns, and asset failures, which tend to rise during the summer.
According to Siddarth, the railway commercial staff have been deployed in shifts to manage the war room round the clock. “The team will monitor and respond to complaints received through the RailMadad application and the railway helpline number 139, ensuring quicker resolution and better coordination on the ground,” he said.
In addition, the division has also launched a knowledge enhancement programme for railway staff. The initiative is focused on improving staff behaviour and passenger interaction, the senior DCM said.
