Damians ‘inspire’ juniors at graduation ceremony
PATNA: Wearing the traditional off-white saris with golden border, around 300 Damians walked to the decorated aisle and received their certificates at the
The outgoing Class XII students shared their experiences at school and thanked God for all the blessings. The ceremony started with prayer service followed by melodious song praising the goodness of God.
The ceremony was graced by Sr Mary Sreeja, assistant to the Superior General, and Sr Mary Tessy, provincial superior of the Sisters of Notre Dame, Patna. The theme of this year’s ceremony was ‘Share your light, Ignite and Inspire’.
On this occasion, the outgoing students received awards and certificates in special categories.
Saanjya Shah, Indrani Mukherjee, Kashvi and Tusharika received certificates for outstanding leadership qualities. Shreya Jha, Shaily Raina, Akshita Jha, Anchal, Binish Zubia, Devanshi, Harman Kaur and Sanjeevani were awarded certificates for perfect attendance in academic year 2018-19.
Altogether 29 students, including Duruti, Arundhati, Lavanya, Snighdha Parashar, Vanshika, Tanisha, Shambhavi, Sanya, Arya Sharma, Nemat, Diksha, Sharon, Nandika, Shailja, Shaily, Shristi, Vedika, Vidhi, Tanya, Apoorva, Pradipti, Pragya, Binish, Rashmi, Akansha, Supriya, Arya, Saloni and Aishwarya were felicitated for social service.
Esha, Diya, Ashiya, Amina, Pia Ranjan, Raisha, Shriya, Sidrah, Shraddha, Samiya, Mansi, Anjali, Gargee, Nikita, Ankur, Swikriti, Manya, Padmakshi, Sonalika, Vishi Smriti, Saba, Anupriya, Aditi, Devanshi Singh, Preeti, Ragi and Sanchi were awarded certificates for academic excellence.
Sister Sreeja and school principal Sr Mary Jessy encouraged the students to always live true to the ideals that the school instilled in them over the years and to share their inner spark to ignite and inspire others. They asked the students to bring change in the society and make the world a better place with their education.
Sr Jessy enlightened the students about the importance of starting afresh and inspired the graduates to win over the tides that awaited them in life. The parents of the students expressed their gratitude towards the school for its contribution in shaping their daughters’ career.
The ceremony ended with the graduates marching out of the hall with lighted candles and ignited spirits.
