CUSB inks MoU topromote research inanimal husbandry

Patna: An MoU was signed between the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) and Bihar Animal Sciences University (BASU) at Gaya on Thursday with a view to promoting studies and research in the field of livestock and animal husbandry technology. CUSB vice-chancellor Kameshwar Nath Singh and BASU vice-chancellor Rameshwar Singh signed the MoU in the presence of other university officials and academics.
CUSB public relations officer Md Mudassir Alam told this newspaper that after signing the MoU, CUSB VC said the purpose of the agreement is to establish mutual dialogue and coordination between both the institutions on the adoption of latest technological advancements in the concerned fields. The benefit of this agreement will also be availed by the farmers of the neighbouring localities. The “campus for the community” initiative of the university will also get a boost, he said. BASU vice-chancellor said that the agreement would give a new dimension to the research being carried out in the field of animal science in both the universities. They will share their expertise in the field of life sciences and animal sciences with each other and also share their techniques and resources in the field of research, he said.
The meeting was attended by registrar Rajiv Kumar Singh, life sciences department head Ram Pratap Singh and assistant registrar Shashi Ranjan from CUSB and Bihar Veterinary College dean J K Prasad and associate professor G D Singh from BASU.
