Criminal held with pistol in Saran

Chhapra: Police arrested a criminal with a country-made pistol under Khaira police station area of Saran district on Tuesday evening. He was identified as Ritesh Kumar, son of Tajeshwar Ray, resident of Meenapur under Garkha police station. The police said efforts were underway to nab his accomplices. Saran Police informed that one Shrawan Kumar, resident of Hareram village under Khaira PS, received a threatening call to eliminate him and his brother. After some time, Ritesh was detained by two bike-borne persons near a fuel station while he was returning home. Some of the villagers overpowered one of the accused and informed the police by Dialing 112. The police reached the spot and arrested one of the accused, Ritesh Kumar. The Police have registered a case under suitable section of BNS.
