Ojha alleged that those involved in production and acting had launched the movie with an intention of maligning the image of the then prime minister Manmohan Singh and other leaders of different political parties apart from tarnishing the image of the country. Even actors who have played the role of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, his mother Sonia Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Vadra have damaged their image. He has also complained against the film's director and producer.
The legal practitioner said, “The SHO has to inform the court after registering the case under Sections 295, 203, 153, 153A, 504, 506, 120B and 34 of IPC within a week,” he said. While, Section 295 of the IPC makes destruction, damage or desecration of a place of worship or an object held sacred with intent to insult the religion of a class of persons, punishable with imprisonment which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both, Section 293 of IPC on other hand, deals with sale, etc, of obscene objects to young person.
The film’s producer, Hansal Mehta, launched its promotional videos on December 26 last. The film is based on a book with the same name and authored by Sanjay Baru, media advisor of the then prime minister Manmohan Singh.
