Cops cluelessin murder case

PATNA: Even after more than 24 hours, Patna police remained clueless about the killers of contractor Basant Kumar Singh, who was brutally murdered in full public view by unidentified assailants at the office of the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) in Punaichak locality on Friday.
City SP (West) Upendra Sharma said, "No substantial breakthrough has been achieved till now in the case." When asked whether CCTV cameras installed on the office premises had thrown any light on the murder, the SP said 'not yet'.
The police have, till now, even failed to determine the motive behind Singh's killing - whether it was the fallout of some personal rivalry or any tender dispute.
