Connecting dreams: Nitish Kumar unveils Bihar’s landmark 6-lane Ganga bridge (see pics)

CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated the first phase of Bihar’s six-lane Kacchi Dargah–Bidupur Bridge, a key moment in the state's infrastructure journey.

The inauguration event took place in Patna, drawing state officials, engineers, and media to witness the unveiling of the Ganga-spanning project.

The bridge’s first phase marks the beginning of seamless road travel between Kacchi Dargah and Raghopur Diara, long awaited by locals.

This is Bihar’s first extra-dosed cable-stayed bridge, inaugurated as a symbol of modern engineering and state ambition.

During the launch, CM Nitish Kumar emphasized the bridge's impact on reducing travel time and improving lives in isolated regions.

At the ceremony, it was noted that the bridge will integrate with national highways and future expressways, boosting state-wide travel and trade.

Though the full bridge is under construction, the inaugurated section will soon open for use, providing immediate relief to commuters.
