PATNA: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Wednesday ordered a probe into the 'highhandedness' of NarkatiyaganjDSP who thrashed a local businessman, PannaLal Prasad. In view of his serious injuries, the doctors have referred Prasad to a hospital in the state capital.
The CM announced during zero hour in the Bihar legislative council that he will direct the director general of police to probe the incident.

Earlier, raising the issue during zero hour, BJP member Lal Babu Prasad said a businessman, Panna Lal Prasad, who runs a hotel in Narkatiyaganj, was thrashed by the DSP along with his bodyguard outside his hotel. "Prasad was also arrested in a false case of land dispute but was released on bail immediately," he said. The MLA demanded immediate action against the erring police official.
